The song above has been stuck in my head for the last few days. Stuck in my head in a good way. I have read and heard sermons about God being a jealous God. I never quit understood fully what that meant, and never really put that much thought into it either. Over the last few weeks as schedule conflicts to meet with friends began to pop up on both sides, I noticed myself getting jealous of the time they were spending with others. Not the terrible two tantrum jealous, but just sad that all of our schedules could not line up even for one day, so that we could spend time together. Suddenly, I felt God saying, "see I am jealous for you. when you don't spend time with me." I have liked this song when it first came out, but now that I really understand the lyrics, I love it. To hear it and really think about the message of the song, brings tears to my eyes.
